MTP/IP Network Test Utilities
These diagnostic tools can be used to compare TCP and MTP performance head-to-head, trace network connectivity problems, and query the status of MTP/IP servers.
If you are looking for a trial download of the ExpeDat file transfer software, see the ExpeDat page.
The MTPtestGUI and mtptest programs will run a series of diagnostic tests to compare MTP versus TCP performance on your
network. They will then analyze the results and report on the condition
of your network path. Ideally, you should run one copy at each end of the path you are testing. If you don't have access to a second CPU, you can also test against DEI's servers.
Below are links to download the utilities for all supported systems. See Tech Note 0004 for system requirements. All packages are less than 1 megabyte.
If you are submitting a Technical Support
Request regarding performance, please include output from from
MTPtestGUI or mtptest.
