mtptest (All Platforms)
This is an all-in-one automated test utility that you can run on the command-line to analyze the performance of a network path between two machines. mtptest combines many of the functions of the other MTP Utilities in a single application. It also analyzes the test results and can provide suggestions for fixing problems. Note that the tests use both TCP and UDP, so you will need to configure any firewalls to allow both through. By default, mtptest uses port 8082, but this can be changed as shown in the next section.
Note that the tests use both TCP and UDP, so you will need to configure any firewalls to allow both through. MTPtestGUI uses UDP and TCP ports 8082. The command line version, mtptest, allows you to set any port number.
If you are planning to make a Technical Support Request (TSR), output from mtptest will be very helpful in addressing your request.
