Locating the Client
Workstations using HyperGate must have a nearby HGclient for their web browsers to connect to. The simplest strategy is to run HGclient on each workstation that will be using HyperGate. This involves the least configuration and typically provides the best performance.
In some cases, it may be desirable for HGclient to run on a different CPU than the workstation running the web browser. For example, if your workstations are on a private network requiring the user of a proxy server, or if you wish to support multiple workstations with a single HGclient installation. HGclient may be installed on any CPU directly accessible by the workstations using it. For maximum performance, the workstations and HGclient should be on the same Local Area Network. Individual workstations can access HyperGate either through HyperGate URLs, or by using HGclient as a proxy server.
See the Installation section and the README file for details on how to install the client software. See the HGclient chapter for information on configuring the client software.
