Document Setup

HyperGate can access any document or form that has a URL and is available on a web server that has an HGserver running nearby.  Normally, web browsers would access such a document by opening a direct TCP/IP connection between the workstation and the webserver.  In order to use HyperGate, the web browser must instead be instructed to connect to HGclient, which in turn must connect to the server’s HGserver.  This can be configured in two ways: via HyperGate URLs and Secure HyperGate URLs for individual documents, or via Proxy Mode for entire web sites.

Mixing Types

You may use any combination of HyperGate URLs, Secure HyperGate URLs, Proxy Mode, and regular URLs. They will not interfere with each other at either the client or server.
